About GlendaGlenda has been working in professional film, television, video and print for more than a quarter century. Her list of famous faces reads like a Who's Who of Music and Hollywood. Glenda's credits include PBS, BBC, BET, American Idol (Austin), Access Hollywood, Ambush Makeover, E-Entertainment, Home & Garden- HGTV, The Food Channel, Nightline, Fuse-TV NY, Lifetime, MTV-Real World, TV Guide/American Idol 2010 Interviews, CBS 60 Minutes, NBC, ABC, ESPN, CNN, CDC-Atlanta, Fox Network, Fox News, 20th Century Fox, Columbia Pictures, New Line Pictures, Time-Warner, and over the last twenty years working on many winning political campaigns including her eight years with the late Texas Lt. Governor Bob Bullock. Glenda is a long Island, New Yorker by birth. She moved to Miami Beach, then to Atlanta and ultimately landed in Austin, Texas 27 years ago. In the process, she studied both art and acting and even joined the Screen Actors' Guild. She finally realized her true "niche" combine her two passions of art and theatre into professional makeup artistry! One of her many makeup artist assignments since 1989 has been staff Head Makeup Artist with the renowned PBS Music Show Austin City Limits and has worked on over 625 shows. Austin City Limits is an award-winning National and International television series, as well as the 2003 recipient of The National Medal Of Arts, and a musical icon for the past 37 years. Glenda's position as Head Makeup Artist with Austin City Limits has given her the opportunity to be one-on-one and face-to-face with the best of America's music from country, blues and folk to rock 'n roll, jazz, bluegrass and zydeco. Glenda is the author of the Austin City Limit's Artist's Cookbook. In 2009, celebrating the 35th anniversary of Austin City Limits on PBS, the University of Texas Press released in October Glenda's cookbook, Music in the Kitchen - Favorite Recipes from Austin City Limits Performers. |
